  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry; season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Dredge in flour.
  2. Sear seasoned chicken thighs skin-side down in melted butter until golden brown (4–5 minutes each side). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same pan, sauté chopped onion until translucent; add minced garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in flour to make a roux, then whisk in chicken broth gradually. Add heavy cream and simmer until thickened.
  5. Return seared chicken to the pan; cover and simmer for 25–30 minutes on low heat.
  6. Cook white rice according to package instructions.
