  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Mix in one egg and vanilla; add orange food coloring to desired hue.
  4. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Dollop cream cheese mixture on top, followed by remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean. Cool before slicing.
